Yukk!

(We hope these photo's don't resemble yours)

30 Years Young

This unit has seen it's last summer.

Perils Of Ocean Front Living

By the serial numbers, this unit was less than 5 years old when replaced. The otherwise normal looking coil is unable to transfer heat because corrosion has destroyed the bond between the aluminum fins and copper tubing.

 Bottoms Up!

These three losers were plucked from a beach home after the coils could no longer keep up with heat transfer. The unit bottoms have rusted away completely after eight years.

Neglected Blower

This unit, while pretty old, could benefit from regular maintenance to keep surfaces in the airstream clean.

Air Filters Anyone?

This blower was removed and successfully cleaned. This pet hair and unidentified matter filled the blades of the blower until no air could be moved by it. Air filters are not only to clean your environment, they protect your equipment.

The Ugly Finger Eating Monster

We ran across this unit that has obviously has been used as a parking bumper. Notice the awfully dangerous repair to the fan and guard. That's enough room for an adult arm to fit through! Thankfully, this unit doesn't live here anymore.

You shouldn't be breathing this!

We see this too often. A dirty evaporator (inside) causes the air conditioner to work harder and use more electricity to cool the home. The hygiene issues are evident, even to a novice.

Dirty, Moldy Ducts

A leaky, wet duct system in a crawl space is a haven for all things unhealthy. This fiberglass ductboard system was removed entirely and redesigned using galvanized metal.

Leaky Attic Unit

A unit sitting in an attic drawing in 115 degree air is no good. Seal it up and save a few dollars.

Loose Connection

That air that costs money to cool is blowing out freely under this home. Poor installation is to blame. Duct system was replaced. Result: Happy customers with a healthy home.

Danger!

This furnace had a rusted out heat exchanger posing a danger of carbon monoxide poisoning to this family. It was replaced with a heat pump. If you use any fuel burning appliances, please use and periodically test a Carbon Monoxide detector.

Shredded Duct

This flex duct shows the degrading jacket due to sunlight leaking into the attic. The insulation value is nil when the vapor barrier is destroyed and water condenses on the cold duct surface. Solution: Replace Ducts.
